Consol Terms & Conditions

These legal terms are between you and Consol Tanning Limited (Consol/we/us) and you agree to them by using the Consol app, website, or if you buy any of our products or services (we’ll refer to any or all of these items as services from now on).   

You can only use our services if you have a Consol accountTo open an account, you will need to be at least 18 years old and show us proof of your age with valid photo ID. You should read this document along with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we use your data.

English law applies to any legal questions about these terms and our dealings with each other, and any disagreement will be settled in the English courts.

Using a sunbed with Consol🔆 

Before using our services, you must take session advice from our staffwebsite or app and not exceed the tanning time that our tool recommends.   

You must use UV protective goggles for every session. 

If you are on medication, you are pregnant, photosensitive or skin type 1 (being fair skinned), you must consult with your GP before using our services and follow their advice about whether and how to use them. 

You must not use our tanning services if you have already been sunbathing or had another sunbed that day (or plan to).   

You must not take anyone else into the tanning cabin with you when you are using our services. 

All of our services are subject to availability. 
 

Buying Consol Account Credit (credit) 💸 

Our services can be purchased by payment card or with credits. 

You can buy credits in advance at any time via our app.  Any credits you purchase will be stored on your account. Credits cannot be used for purchasing further creditor gift cards and credits cannot be paid or transferred back to you as pounds sterling.  

Prices for our services vary depending on the particular service and store location.  Please visit our app for up-to-date pricing information. 

If you do not use any credits or purchase any new credits in your account for 24 months or more, any existing credits on your account will expire and no longer be available.  

If you do not use any credits, or purchase any new credits in your account for 5 years or more, your account will be closed and any existing credits on that account will be deleted and neither the account or the credits will be available to you following this If you wish to use our services again you must apply to open a new account. 

It is your responsibility to check and use any existing credits before they expire. 

 
Using your account⛔️ 

Your account with Consol is personal to you and cannot be shared with anyone else. If an account is used by anyone else other than youwe may suspend or close it😱 To make sure that it is only you using the account, we may use CCTV, in store photos and your profile images to verify you.   

We may also suspend or close your account if you do not follow the rules set out in these terms, you are abusive to our staff or any other customer, or if you engage in other anti-social behaviour that we reasonably believe may harm our business, our staff or our other customers.  

Any credits on your account will be lost if the account is closed. 

 

The Consol concept

We ask you to please spray and wipe down the contact surface of the sunbed with the anti-bacterial spray & paper towels provided both before & after use. We also expect you to leave the sunbed & cabin in a tidy state. Failure to do so may result in account suspension. 

 
If something goes wrong🔧 

We identify you on our systems with your phone number and so we may ask you to confirm that to us if you contact us to resolve any issue.  

We strive to resolve any issues immediately and while you are still in our studio.  If we (or you) are not able to do that, we think a quick phone call is the next best option, but feel free to contact us via any of the methods outlined in the How to contact us section 👆

 

Our responsibility to you 💪

These terms do not limit our responsibility and liability to you for fraud (including any fraudulent promise we make to you), death or personal injury caused by our negligence or any other liability that it would be illegal or unlawful for us to try and limit.   

You should keep your property and belongings with you at all times while you are on our premises as we cannot accept any responsibility for loss or damage to those items. 

You understand that the use of tanning services (particularly overusemay result in skin ageing and potentially increase the risks associated with certain types of skin cancer.  You agree that you are in control of your use of our services and as such, we are not responsible and shall have no liability for any loss that you may experience resulting from the frequency or duration of your use of our services. 

We are not responsible to you for anything that we can’t control (such as failure of power or telecommunications). 

 
Making changes to this agreement📝 

This agreement will always be available on our website and app We may make changes to it from time to time in order to comply with the law, to better suit our business or for any other reason.  If we make changes to it that are clearly in your favour, we will tell you once we have made them. Otherwise we will give you at least two months notice before the changes take effect. 

 
If you don't like these changes, you can let us know and we will close your account (take a look at the next section for more about that). Any credits on your account at the time of closing cannot be refunded and will be lost. 

 
Closing your account😭 

These terms will remain in effect for the duration of your account with us. To close and delete your account, head to the Consol app, My Consol, Account Settings, and select Delete Account. If you don't have the app, please download and sign up, then follow the same process. Alternatively, you can email us at helpline@consol.eu from the email address associated with your Consol account, and we will promptly delete your account.

In the event that your account is closed, either by your action or as outlined in the other sections of these terms, all your data will be permanently deleted, and any remaining credits will be removed. Please note that the deletion process is irreversible, and credits cannot be reinstated.

 

Consol Membership, Loyalty & Lotto Conditions

 

Terms & Conditions for Membership

Consol reserves the right to change membership criteria, benefits and levels that are offered to customers at any time without any prior notification.

Customers whose accounts are suspended will forfeit any accrued rewards and benefits. Membership status is non-transferable, cannot be shared, and cannot be paused.

Member benefits are awarded according to member level, please check your level and connected benefits on your app. 

Birthday sessions can be redeemed on the birthday or on the two days following this, if birthday minutes are not redeemed within this three-day period they will be lost. Please note that birthday minutes will be credited at the point of checkout and will not appear on your account as additional minutes.

Free vending products cannot be transferred to the next month.

All membership benefits are dependent on spending and usage patterns. Our staff members cannot influence or change membership levels.

 

Terms & Conditions for Loyalty Streak

Consol reserves the right to change the rules, reward minutes and criteria at any time and without notice.

Prizes depend on your membership level when you complete the streak, please find these on your personal account on your app.

Please ensure you are logged into your personal account as sunbed sessions taken on another account will not count and multiple accounts are not permitted

Stars earned in the Loyalty Streak program are based on having at least one sunbed session per calendar month using your personal account. Stars cannot be transferred between accounts, shared, paused, or exchanged for cash.

If your account is suspended, you will lose all accrued rewards and benefits.

 

Terms & Conditions for Lotto

Consol account holders logged into the Consol app will automatically be entered in the Free Session and Free Lotion Lotto if they complete all three listed on the Consol App>My Consol>Lotto page requirements (automatically ticked in app once tasks are completed).

Prizes must be claimed within 10 days of receiving the email notification. If the prize is not claimed within the allocated period, it will be lost with no compensation. There will be 10 winners drawn every Wednesday night for a free 15-minute session.

There will be 10 winners selected for free lotion lotto which will be drawn on the night of the 28th of each month. Prizes are claimed in the studio and rewarded at the check-out on the payment kiosk.

Simply add the lotion bottle of your choice into the basket or add the sunbed and the minutes for your session, any minutes under 15 minutes will be forfeited and any minutes over will be charged at studio prices.

Consol Tanning Limited reserves the right to change these terms and conditions or withdraw an offer at any time. 

 

Consol Parking Terms & Conditions 

Version 6.1  -  27 July 2023

SiPi Private Land Enforcement for Consol Tanning Studios 

Consol parking spaces are permitted for: 

  • Vehicles fully displaying a valid SIP Parking permit in the windscreen, or a permit registered electronically with the full and accurate vehicle registration applicable to individual bays where relevant  
  • Do not park on double/ single yellow lines, hatched areas, pavements or on grass in a manner which disables other vehicles from departing from their parked position 
  • Vehicles in disabled bays must have a valid disabled badge on display in the windscreen in addition to compliance with the requirements set in bullet points 
  • In addition to the requirements above, if the car park or road has parked parking bays then you must also park fully within the confines of a marked bay. 

By parking or remaining at this site otherwise than in accordance with the above you, the driver, are agreeing to the following contractual terms: 

  • You agree to pay consideration in the form of a ‘parking charge’ in the sum of £100, to be paid within 28 days of issue. This is reduced to £60 if paid within 14 days. Additional reductions may apply. 
  • You will be liable for additional parking charges for each and any subsequent 24-hour period (or part thereof) that the vehicle remains or if it returns at any time. 
  • Failure to pay the charge may result in the vehicle’s keeper details being obtained from the DVLA. If the charge becomes overdue an additional £60 damage may be added to the value of the parking charge for which you, the driver, will be liable. You, the driver, will also be liable for legal costs incurred if proceedings are commenced. 

Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) may be in use in this area. Images may be captured and retained for the purposes of recovering payment for parking charges where due. 

Retrospective evidence of authority to park will not be accepted. 

 

Importance notice 

Neither SIP Parking not the Propretor/ Owner will be liable for any damages / loss or injury to any vistiors to this car park/ road. Visitors are required to use cauion when using the car park/ road. PLease note that SIP Parking will not accept liability for damage to or property stolen from vehicles. In respect of other claims, liability will be limited where users have failed to regard for their own safety. Use of this private parking facility is, therefore, at your own risk.
